This is a pendant I made using a tip from a large elk antler. The marred and scratched surface from the animal fighting and rubbing against trees is very evident in this piece. These antlers are shed naturally every year, and are picked up by hikers and campers around Central Oregon. I cut, drilled and naturally tinted this piece of antler before burning in the completely original design. It depicts a realistic human eye on a creature from the sea, with eight legs, wearing a crown. I shaded the image with a pointillism technique using my burner. It is signed and dated, and comes with an adjustable cord, so it can be worn around the neck, from the car mirror, or on the wall as artwork.

|Deer Antler Dragon Pendant - For Sale|
I burned a little dragon into the base of a deer antler. The antler was given to me, and I was curious about how it would burn and react to the extreme heat. I liked the ruffled edge of the base, so I used a fine saw to remove it from the antler. I sanded, polished, drilled and tinted the antler piece before adding the artwork. I always draw before I burn, then erase any remaining pencil marks.

This faery character is burned into a round of Juniper that I cut and dried. I sketched her face and then burned her in. Juniper smells a lot like Cedar as it burns. I pierced a hole for a cord, and finished the back with a solid dark flat pattern.
